What is this event?
A quiz-bowl style team event. Your team answers rapid questions about health science, HOSA and medical knowledge against another team.
What you actually do
Your team first takes a qualifying written test. Qualifying teams then compete in buzzer matches where speed and accuracy both count.
What happens at competition
Teams sit at buzzer stations, a reader asks a question, and the first team to buzz answers. Wrong answers can give the other team a chance, so knowing when NOT to buzz matters.
Why students choose it
It is loud, fast and fun — the closest thing HOSA has to a sport, and practices double as study sessions for every other health science event.
